New Halloween trends and activities

Because of social media and all of the various websites, pinterests pages, and other media new halloween trends have begun to pop up. These new trends and activities are a great way to find something fun to do with your family and friends. 

A relatively new trend that has surfaced is halloween gingerbread houses. While you may be thinking this activity is strictly for the christmas season not anymore. Instead of making a perfect little house you can make something truly horrifying, or at least messier and less neat. There are a variety of kits available at most grocery stores, or you could make your own gingerbread. These kits typically come with some candy, but usually nothing crazy so you may want to buy some candies to decorate the outside with. Candy corn, chocolate peanut butter pumpkins, and other candies can take your gingerbread haunted house to the next level. 

Another social media trend is the ghost sheet photoshoots. This activity involved getting some white sheets, sunglasses, and a pretty or fun background. A photoshoot is a great way to make memories and get some awesome post worthy photos. Because there is not much needed, and these things can be found around the house this activity does not take much planning. The only thing you need to decide is where to take the picture. The mountains at this time of year are very pretty and there are many good lookout points and parks to take pictures at. If you do not have time to drive far you can take them in your backyard or at a nearby park.
